Here’s my experience with this product.  The product comes in a dark glass bottle.  You want to keep retinol from direct light though and out of heat.  There is a glass dropper to dispense the product.  I’m going to tell you this but if unless you buy it you won’t truly understand what I mean.  The Peter Thomas Roth Retinol Fusion PM Night Serum is very watery.  It took me a couple of times using it for me not to waste any by dripping it everywhere.  At first I applied it to my fingertips and before it got to my face it ran between my fingers and dripped on the counter.  I know this sounds silly but it seriously drips everywhere and there should be a disclaimer.  Use an SPF!  Regardless if you decide to start a retinol product USE SPF.  You will be reading that alot in my blog!  Start by using retinol every other night and build to every night. If you have redness or flaky skin after applying then you should wait another day before applying again.  My skin is not sensitive in the least so I use this product nightly. Let’s talk about where this fits into your skincare routine. Retinol should be used  at night.   Cleanse your skin then apply retinol and finish with your moisturizer. If you use serums then your steps would be to cleanse your skin, apply the retinol, apply your serum then finish with your moisturizer.  You would not want to use your Alpha Hydroxy Acid at the same time as the retinol.  I use my Alpha Hydroxy Acid and Vitamin C in the morning and the retinol at night.  It’s advisable to wait 15 minutes after retinol before you apply any other products.  The time wait is to allow the retinol to have time to absorb and start working. In addition to loving how few ingredients are in this product, I also love the price (the 1 fl oz is $65).  Also, the 1.5% retinol makes this product a strong competitor to any other retinol being sold.IMG_9955
