Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette REVIEW

Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Contour Palette $46.00

This palette is basically 3 quads of matte shadows DSC_5207that are packaged together.  Each of these quads has a base shade, a contour shade, a define, and a highlight shade. The quads are considered Neutral, Cool and Warm. I’ve read of people comparing this to Naked Palette by Urban Decay.  I love the Naked Palettes, but this is totally different.  This Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Contour Palette is all matte.  Some of  the shadow’s are a bit powdery.  So apply your eye makeup before applying the rest of your makeup.  This will allow you to cleanup under the eye if needed without disturbing your foundation, etc… I would also suggest using an eye shadow primer underneath the shadows for the smoothest, best results.  I wrote about my favorite eye primer here.

I will say the instructions in the box are really easy to understand and follow.  It has a “paint by number” concept.  So if you don’t usually wear a lot of eye shadow use the instructions to help you play with application.  Then you can absolutely play with other combinations including your other shadows into the mix.
