I recently wrote about how to self tan and immediately had lots of questions about my favorite self tanner. There are tons of great self tanners out there and tons I’ve never tried. There are also some I know I would like to try in the future. So my favorites list might get longer.
Fake Bake Flawless (on Amazon here for about $15) is a fast drying, non sticky tanner with great color.
The self tanner has a tint called a guide to help you see where the product is going. The guide will wash off in the shower. Here is what the spray looks on a white surface. It is a liquid not a lotion as you can see.
In the box there is a “Professional mitt” included. I’m really not sure why the mitt is “Professional”. Here is the mitt that comes in the Fake Bake Luxurious Golden Bronze Flawless Self-Tan Liquid box. The sprayer seems to have a lot of over spray so make sure you are in a place that the floors can be cleaned easily. Consider standing on a towel. The other option would be to spray the tanner directly onto mitt. If you spray the self tanner onto the mitt you will be losing more of the product but with this self tanner I think spraying the mitt is the best option.
The fragrance really isn’t my favorite but it’s not horrible considering it’s a self tan. It’s a tropical scent. The tan lasts for me almost a week. It gradually fades a little more each day. If you have applied multiple layers of self tan the fade won’t be as smooth. You will need to use an exfoliator once the tan starts to look splotchy.
The Fake Bake is the self tanner to the left in these pictures. The other self tanner is the St. Tropez Mousse.
I highly recommend that you look at the post about how to apply self tan HERE.
COMING tomorrow a review of St. Tropez Mousse.
